Thanks to a great team of groups and programs our club has recently engaged in a very worthwhile endeavor!  Project Welcome home is a program launched by our Club in conjunction with the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 327 in 2015.

District Governor Frank Geraghty was on hand at Portofino's Restaurant on July 1st to induct our two newest members. Kathleen (Kate) Perlett sponsored by  Alice Szigethy,  and Mendi Asani sponsored by Margit Rahill became the first two inductees for the 2015- 2016 Rotary year.  Mendi is the owner of Portofino's, while Kate whose office is in Sparta works in the home health field.  We look forward to our newest members becoming an integral part of our club, working on our future projects.

This month, the Jefferson Township Rotary Club was proud to award 2 scholarships at both the Jefferson Township High School and at the Sparta Township High School.

Each scholarship was for $500.00 and awarded to 1 student from each school.

The Jefferson Township Rotary Club has been awarding scholarships since 1965.

We are always looking for new ways to get involved with the community.  The attached article tells about our latest charitable endeavor.

Our thanks to Keith Butler, Acting Commandant of the Lieutentant Corporal Robert J. Slattery  Detachment of the Marine Corps for speaking to us about the "Virtual Baby Shower" project.

Our thanks also to John Luciano and AIM Jefferson for the attached article.

Here's an example of one project that we just wrapped up.

The Rotary Club of Jefferson Township presented 29 bulletproof vests to the officers of the New Jersey Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at the state fair.
